Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Smile Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant with 1-1 experience to work at a Mainstream secondary school in Cannock, either full time OR part time opportunites available.
Due to the nature of the role and our vetting requirements, prior experience supporting children is essential in order to be considered.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students during lessons and activities.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individual learning plans/ EHCPs
  • Help students develop social skills and independence.
  • Communicate effectively with the student, parents, and educational staff.
 
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young adults/children with SEN needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude.
  • Ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and respect.
  • Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education (preferred).
  • Be able to provide 24 months’ worth of references
  • A valid DBS check (if you do not have one, we can support you with your application).
