Support Young Learners to Thrive Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and community-focused primary academy in the Broughton area, working in partnership with the Enquire Learning Trust (ELT).

Situated in a charming village on the outskirts of Scunthorpe, this well-established primary school provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. With modern classrooms, excellent outdoor learning spaces and a strong sense of community, the school prides itself on creating a positive atmosphere where both pupils and staff can flourish.

The school enjoys excellent transport links to Scunthorpe, Brigg and the surrounding North Lincolnshire villages, making it an ideal location for education professionals seeking a rewarding role within a supportive team.

The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small intervention groups to raise attainment.
  • Provide tailored support for children with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Help create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, resources and assessment activities.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have at least 6 months' UK school-based experience supporting primary-aged children.
  • Have experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be patient, enthusiastic and passionate about helping children succeed.
  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or recognised equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
  • Ability to provide two years of employment and/or education references, including one relating to working with children.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Please note: Sponsorship is not available.
Registration & Compliance
Successful candidates will complete Smile Education's safeguarding and compliance registration process. Registrations are arranged promptly once all required documentation has been received, allowing us to clear candidates for work as quickly as possible.
