SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall WS3
Salary: £85-£100 per day

We are working with a local primary school who are on the lookout for multiple dedicated special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistants to support children within mainstream lessons. The role is long-term and full-time working with children from Reception to Year 6 with a range of SEN or SEMH needs.

The Role:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Promote inclusion and ensure all students have equal access to learning opportunities and resources.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • 24 months worth of references with at least 1 working with children in the UK.
  • A valid DBS registered to the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Valid right to work in the UK documents.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
