Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only + 5 Training Days)
Pay: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough for a dedicated Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

The Role

Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Deliver engaging learning activities alongside the class teacher.
Promote children's learning, independence and personal development.
Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND.
Help create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Holds a Level 2 Early Years specific qualification.
Has successful experience working within an Early Years setting.
Is reliable, adaptable and proactive.
Has a positive attitude and uses their own initiative.
Is caring, compassionate and passionate about making a difference.
Works well as part of a team.
Is highly organised and committed to providing outstanding support for young learners.

Essential Requirements

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS.
Contactable professional references covering recent employment.
Right to work in the UK.
