Learning Support Assistant:
Based in Chesterfield, this special school is eager to add Learning Support Assistant candidates to their cohesive school support team, working along side class teachers to ensure classes run smoothly through 1:1 and group focus support.


It would be ideal if as a Learning Support Assistant, you have already gained experience school support within a SEN / SEMH capacity, mentoring or counselling as it is key to build up trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

Learning Support Assistant – The Role: 

• Support students with additional and behavioural needs
• Students can range from having a ADHD, ASC, SEMH diagnosis
• Carry out 1:1 and group intervention sessions
• Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staff

Learning Support Assistant – what makes you suited to this role:

• Patience, resilience, and approachability
• Calm, understanding and proactive attitude
• Prior education experience within a SEN school setting or classroom capacity
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents
• Can work independently and as part of a team

• A full enhanced DBS, which can be processed through Smile Education.
• Valid right to work in the UK
