Key Responsibilities:As a Behaviour Support HLTA, you will:
- Deliver tailored interventions to support students with behavioural challenges, both in small groups and one-to-one.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN staff to implement individual behaviour plans.
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment, promoting self-regulation and mutual respect.
- Provide classroom support to ensure smooth lesson delivery and manage behavioural incidents effectively.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of behaviour management strategies across the school.
- Support the professional development of other staff by sharing effective practices for behaviour management.
Key Requirements:The ideal candidate will:
- Hold HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
- Have significant experience supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs in an educational setting.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different situations.
- Possess an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
