Smile Education is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and friendly primary school in the Smethwick area. This long-term role is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about early childhood education to make a lasting impact on young learners.
Role Overview
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Work closely with children to support their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and resource management.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents when needed.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes curiosity and a love for learning.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, EYFS, or Teaching Assistance).
  • Be patient, caring, and passionate about supporting young children’s development.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
