Smile Education is proud to partner with a dynamic and inclusive school in Walsall, dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment for children. We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support KS1 students on a full-time basis.
Role Overview
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to provide tailored behavioural and emotional support to students.
- Assist in developing positive behaviour strategies and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions for students to address behavioural and emotional challenges.
- Monitor and report on student progress to ensure they achieve their full potential academically and personally.
- Act as a role model, promoting resilience and self-confidence in young learners.
- Has prior experience working with children, particularly in managing and improving behaviour.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can effectively implement behaviour management strategies.
- Holds a relevant qualification or has experience in a similar role (e.g., Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker).
