Smile Education are supporting an SEN specialist Primary school based in Tamworth on their search for an experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant. School Overview:

The setting provides education for pupils with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Catering to students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 they ensure a safe and secure environment where every individual is supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.

Position Overview:

The school are seeking dedicated Education Support Staff to join their team, supporting students with a wide range of needs. Pupils within the school exhibit diverse abilities, with some experiencing learning difficulties and/or delays in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in various educational settings.
• Assist in implementing personalised learning plans as per EHCP requirements.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure students' needs are met effectively.

Requirements:

• A passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
• Ability to adapt to varying learning requirements and abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in an educational setting would be advantageous but not essential.
• Hold a minimum of a level 2 in Health and School Care or equivalent.
