Are you a resilient and passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? Smile Education is recruiting a primary trained teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lichfield, supporting children who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.
About the Role:
  • Full-time teaching role role, working predominantly in Key Stage 2
  • Supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Leading the class teacher to help move learning forward and create a positive learning environment.
  • Working in an all-age alternative provision, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience as a Primary Teacher with alternative provisions knowledge/experience is essential.
  • Must hold QTS
  • Recent UK-based experience and confidence in handling SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Someone who is reliable, resilient, and confident in supporting vulnerable children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one through Smile Education.
