Position: SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years Foundation Stage

Competitive pay: £83.40-£100.00 per day

Contract: Full-Time
About the Role:
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of SEN, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop the skills they need to progress.
- You will support students both 1:1 and in small groups, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance necessary to succeed in their learning.
- Your role will be integral in creating an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters their academic and social development.
- Attend to pupils’ needs and provide advice to assist in their social, health and hygiene development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young children with SEN
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, helping them to achieve their learning goals.
- Assist with personal care and any specific needs that may arise during the school day.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported.
- Work with the other staff members to monitor and track students' progress.
What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:
- Must hold a childcare related qualification level 2 or above.
- Experience working with SEN students, preferably in a primary school setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable, with a positive attitude towards learning.
- A proactive team player who is able to collaborate with teachers and other staff.
- A full enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
