Position: SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years Foundation Stage
Location: Warrington (WA2)
Start Date: Immediate
Competitive pay: £83.40-£100.00 per day
Age Group: Nursery/Reception
Contract: Full-Time
 
About the Role:
  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of SEN, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop the skills they need to progress.
  • You will support students both 1:1 and in small groups, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance necessary to succeed in their learning.
  • Your role will be integral in creating an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters their academic and social development.
  • Attend to pupils’ needs and provide advice to assist in their social, health and hygiene development.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support young children with SEN
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, helping them to achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist with personal care and any specific needs that may arise during the school day.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported.
  • Work with the other staff members to monitor and track students' progress.
 
What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:
  • Must hold a childcare related qualification level 2 or above.
  • Experience working with SEN students, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable, with a positive attitude towards learning.
  • A proactive team player who is able to collaborate with teachers and other staff.
  • A full enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
