Age Group: College (13 to 18 year olds)
Contract: Full-Time
Behaviour Support Mentor:The school’s aim is to pave the way for their student’s future and success in employability. They want to ensure that students’ attendance, behaviour, and attitudes to themselves, others and learning will allow them to achieve good outcomes. This Behaviour Mentor role is here to support these students.
It would be
ideal if the Behaviour Support Mentor has experience in safeguarding, mentoring, counselling or SEMH -or who has previously worked as a Behaviour Mentor & can build trusting relationships.
The Role and Responsibilities:- Support students with behavioural needs
- Students can range from having an ADHD, ASC, SEMH diagnosis
- Carry out 1:1 and group intervention sessions
- Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staff
Behaviour Support Mentor – what makes you suited for this role: - Patience, resilience, and approachability
- Calm, understanding and proactive attitude
- Prior education experience within SEN /Safeguarding / Inclusion / Pastoral roles
- Ability to communicate effectively with the SENDCO, class teacher, and parents
- You can work independently and as part of a team
- A full enhanced DBS, which can be processed through Smile Education.
- Valid right to work in the UK
