Unqualified Drama Cover Teacher

Smile Education are looking for a Drama or Music specialist to work in a  secondary school based in the Telford area.This is a full time, long term role to support secondary students in either Drama or Music. This school offers great support to those who join and this is a fantastic opportunity for those who may not yet be Qualified Teachers.
Sucessful candidates would require relevant experience working with children, such as in schools, mentoring, tutoring, sports coaching, summer camp leadership, youth work, or similar roles .

Responsibilities of a Cover Teacher:
  • Deliver Music/ Drama lessons and support where needed.
  • Arrive on time to school and lessons
  • Manage the classroom and keep the children engaged by creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Leave feedback for the classroom teacher

Requirements for this role in Telford:
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students and staff
  • A passion for the development of young people
  • Level 3 of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour
