A leading nursery school located in Warrington are looking to appoint SEMH & SEND Assistant for a long-term role. This school recognises that for many of their children, the journey of education so far hasn’t been easy. They look to think creatively and their approach to learning, so they can stimulate and invigorate their students. They want each child to be able to set ambitious targets and create ECHP’s to support them on achieving their own personal goals.
What will you do as an SEMH Support Assistant?
- You will work with the students to support personal social and academic development of students and promote their well-being within each Key Stage.
- Offering care, support and be someone who will listen to their concerns & worries.
- You will assist in working with parents and others who support both in school and from home.
- Social, emotional & mental health support assistant & SEND
- Monday - Friday – Term Time Only
- Support teachers covering lessons where necessary.
- Graded as "GOOD" in latest Ofsted report
- Very driven SLT and eager to find the best staff.
- Plenty of opportunity to grow & develop within the post.
- Supportive Teaching staff and SLT
- Big focus on Staff Wellbeing and Mental Health
- Degree within Early Years and Education
- CACHE Level 3 in Early Years / Childcare
- Strong A-Level results
- Good written & oral skills
- Ideally previous experience with SEMH / PSHE
- Knowledge of career paths and /or higher education & willingness to learn more.
- Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation.
