Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Smile Education is collaborating with a vibrant secondary school in Solihull to find a passionate Science Teacher to cover a maternity leave, starting as soon as possible. If you’re dedicated to inspiring students and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, we encourage you to get in touch.
As a Science Teacher, your role will involve delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive. You will be responsible for planning and delivering the Mathematics curriculum, assessing student progress, and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. You'll be joining a supportive and hardworking team of staff who are committed to helping you succeed in this role.
The successful candidate must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A strong subject knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and  and experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student progress and achievement.
Tasks Required:
• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Mathematics curriculum.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress to identify areas for development.
• Managing classroom behavior to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
• Supporting students who need additional help to reach their potential.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to departmental planning.
