Smile Education Leicester is working with a well-established secondary school in the South Leicester area that is seeking a talented French Teacher to join their team from January 2025. If you have a passion for inspiring students and making a difference in the classroom, we would love to hear from you. This position is open to both full-time and part-time teachers.

As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, teaching both mixed-ability and very able groups. Experience teaching French in a UK secondary school within the past two years is an essential requirement for this role. You will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, foster a love of the French language, and promote critical thinking skills. You will also assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and inspire students to achieve their best.

The school offers a supportive and collaborative working environment where you will be part of a dedicated team of professionals, committed to your personal and professional development.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in education, languages, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Recent experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4.
  • A strong understanding of the secondary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and motivating students to succeed.
