Smile Education is excited to partner with a well-established middle school in Redditch to find a dedicated and motivated French Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.
The Role:As a French Teacher, you will inspire and support students in their language learning journey. While fluency in French is not essential, familiarity with or a willingness to learn Language Angels, the school’s chosen platform for teaching languages, is required. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys engaging with KS2 and KS3 students, and has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective French lessons using the Language Angels program.
- Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage a love for language learning and cultural awareness in students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching practices and support school initiatives.
- A relevant teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).
- Previous teaching experience, preferably with KS2/KS3 students.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Willingness to use or learn Language Angels to deliver the curriculum effectively.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
