Smile Education is recruiting for a Design and Technology Teacher to join a large, Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in Ashby De La Zouch. This full-time, temp-perm role involves teaching Textiles, Timber, Graphics, Product Design, and Food at both KS3 and KS4. ECTs and QTS teachers are encouraged to apply.

The school boasts a friendly and welcoming team, with an experienced head of department, as well as a good mix of seasoned and newly qualified staff. The department is known for its supportive environment, making it an ideal place for those looking to grow and develop in their teaching career.

This role will be advertised later in the year, offering candidates the chance to try the position on long-term supply before applying for a permanent contract.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 & KS4 (essential)
  • Strong planning, preparation, marking, and assessment skills
  • DBS and the right to work in the UK
