Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a thriving primary school in Smethwick? Smile Education is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join our partner school, starting in November 2024. This is a full-time position running until July 2025, with the possibility of being made permanent based on performance.
About the Role:
  • Position: Year 1 Teacher
  • Start Date: November 2024
  • End Date: July 2025 (potential to be made permanent)
  • Location: Smethwick, West Midlands
  • Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Year 1 students, following the national curriculum.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Planning and preparing lessons, assessing pupil progress, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team and support staff.
About You:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • The role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
