Are you an experienced Year 1 teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school? We are delighted to be working with a lovely client school in the Atherton, Wigan area, and they are looking for a dedicated and experienced Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team!
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay: £150 - £180 per day, depending on experience.

- QTS required – applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 1 students, ensuring the curriculum is followed and students are fully supported in their learning.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment, fostering creativity and curiosity in young learners.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and assess pupil progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, promoting development and confidence.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential for this role.
- Experience teaching Year 1 or working within a primary school setting (M5/M6 level preferred).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and nurturing classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive attitude towards teaching and student development.
