Smile Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and vibrant mainstream primary school in the Burton upon Trent area for a part-time Nursery Teacher.

This well-established school is home to approximately 380 pupils across 14 classes and is supported by a team of dedicated, hardworking staff. Set within extensive grounds featuring over 1,000 trees and beautiful green spaces, the school places a strong emphasis on nurturing both a love for learning and a meaningful connection to nature. The curriculum is designed to inspire and support every child’s development in a rich, engaging environment.

The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Teacher who can contribute positively to school life and deliver a high standard of education within the Early Years setting. This role will involve full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and effective behaviour management.

Key Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Recent experience teaching within EYFS
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and a willingness to become part of a collaborative team
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
  • Willingness to attend training and professional development as required
Compliance & Safeguarding
  • Ability to attend an interview with Smile Education
  • Willingness to complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Smile Education
