Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant Needed!

Are you passionate about providing individualized support to students with special educational needs? Smile Education is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Walsall, providing 1-1 support for a child with Autism in Year 5.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored support and assistance to meet the specific needs of a child with Autism in Year 5.
  • Implement personalised learning strategies and interventions to promote the child's academic and social development.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the child feels supported, valued, and included.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with Autism or other special educational needs is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy to effectively support the child's learning and well-being.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs and preferences of the child.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in education.
