Where does the tutoring take place?

The comfort of your own home! Tutoring with Smile is all done online so, the only thing you need to worry about is your internet connection and that you have a PC with a mic and a camera.

How do you safeguard your tutors and students?

Anyone who joins us as a Smile Tutor will be required to complete our registration process which involves an online interview and compliance checks. We adhere to ASPCo Compliance+ standards which means that we go above and beyond the usual safeguarding standards ensuring that both you and the students are protected.

In addition to this, all tutoring sessions are recorded and all files shared can be reviewed by both us and parents/guardians.

How long does a private tutoring session last?

Typically private tuition sessions last around an hour, but they can be long or shorter at the request of the students’ parent or guardian and needs of the child. 

What hours will I work?

As a tutor you can to choose your own hours which gives you great flexibility (a great benefit - but not the only one!). Don’t want to work weekends? You don’t have to! When creating your online profile, we’ll ask you to state your availability so that parents and guardians are able to see when you are available for work. 

How do I get paid?

When setting up your online profile, you choose your charge rate per hour. Payments for tutoring are then made online using a secure system.

Will I be employed by Smile?
