We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for the CSR Initiative of the Year in the APSCo Awards for Excellence 2019.
This means so much to us as we place a huge amount of value on our community and charity work. This year alone we have walked, ran, climbed, dressed-down and baked for a whole host of different charities and supported a number of schools by helping out at events and running student workshops.
Winning an APSCo Award is one of the most impressive industry recognition a company can achieve. It is the first year that we have been shortlisted for this award but previously won APSCo’s Recruitment Company of the Year in 2017.
The CSR Initiative of the Year Award looks at the actives that a company, like us, has undertaken in order to have a positive impact socially, environmentally and ethically. We are proud to say that this is something that we take very seriously, so much so that it is built into our values.
Throughout the year, we have organised and participated in numerous fundraising activities. We’ve enjoyed two bake-offs this year, walked the Malvern Hills, completed the Wolf Run and had many a dress-down Friday. As a result, we’ve raised lots of money for a whole host of different charities including the NSPCC, the Breast Cancer Haven, Macmillan, Cancer UK, and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
We have also supported our schools by running CV writing courses and interview technique workshops for their students. In addition to providing an extra pair of hands at sports days, schools fairs and on school trips - something we feel helps to set us apart from the rest.
Our directors, Katy and Emma will be taking the heat in the next stage of the process today, which involves a question and answers session with a panel of judges. The questions are designed to help the panel gain a greater insight into the company and the CSR initiatives that we have been taking part in throughout the year.
The winners will be announced at a celebratory, invite-only dinner on Tuesday 8th October, at the Coutts in London which both Katy and Emma will be attending.
Fingers crossed!
