We’re so proud to announce that we’ve achieved 100% in our latest APSCo Compliance+ Audit!
APSCo are a recruitment trade body that aim to ensure excellence within the recruitment industry. They work with recruitment businesses across the globe to provide information, guidance and support on maintaining a high standard of compliance and quality working practices. As members of APSCo, we are audited by APSCo each year to ensure we are upholding a high standard of safeguarding compliance.
The audit involves rigorous file and policy checks, as well as interviews with our team. Last year, we achieved 99%, so to hit the top score of 100% is a spectacular achievement for us and shows how hard we work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our community.
Auditors praised our processes as being “extremely robust” and stated that “there was clear evidence throughout this audit that Smile have a continuing commitment to safeguarding”
APSCo auditors also praised our efforts to support the community, highlighting that “a lovely example of Smile going the extra mile in forming relationships with schools is engaging with a charity that provides school uniforms. Smile are actively involved in distributing these to their client schools as part of a uniform bank for families that may be struggling, as well as providing breakfast supplies.”
Our registration process is designed to ensure the safety of both the students you'll work with and yourself. Here's what it involves:
· You'll need to provide at least two references
· You’ll need to share details of your work history and education with us
· If you don't have a DBS check, we can help you get one
If your school chooses us as its recruitment partner, you can rest assured that we carry out rigorous checks of all school staff to make sure they are suitable to work with your students.
We’re immensely proud of our amazing team, who have worked tirelessly to make this possible and always put safeguarding at the heart of everything they do.
