For us, it’s the most wonderful time of the year but for those without a home this Christmas it’s likely to be a different story. So, this year we wanted to do something to help make their Christmas a little more merry and bright.
To do this, we have joined the Bags for Brummies initiative to support the homeless community in Birmingham. The collection is organised by Love Brum, is a Birmingham based charity that engages with and supports local people and businesses to build an even better Birmingham.
Each of our teams was tasked we collecting the following items:
Shampoo & Conditioner
Soap (liquid)
Deodorant (Roll on only)
Feminine Hygiene products
Wet wipes Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Comb/ Hairbrush
Flannel
Sleeping bag
Hat
Gloves
Scarf
Chocolate bar
Sweets (not boiled)
Supermarket voucher (£10 recommended)
Once we’d collected four of everything, we headed down to Digbeth to drop it all off. It really warmed our hearts to see all the items that had already been donated. We are very lucky to live in such a generous city!
While we know that this is only a small gesture but we hope that it will make the world of difference to someone this Christmas.
